Forebite

Anterior overbite, also called "underbite," is a malocclusion in which the lower teeth and/or lower jaw overlap the upper teeth. It is a less common malocclusion than vertical overbite, but can lead to serious problems if not corrected.

Here are some of the problems that can result from foreboding:

  1. Difficulty in eating and speaking: An anterior bite can make it difficult to bite and chew food properly, as well as to speak. In some cases, it can lead to speech problems.
  2. Pain and discomfort: An anterior bite can cause excessive strain and wear on the teeth, which can lead to jaw pain, temporomandibular joint problems and headaches.
  3. Oral hygiene problems: An anterior bite can make it difficult to clean teeth properly, increasing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
  4. Aesthetic issues: an overbite can affect the appearance of the face and smile, which can affect self-confidence and self-esteem.

Treatment of foreboding depends on the degree of the defect and the age of the patient.
